About Us

Manna Down Under stands for the belief that migration should be a journey of abundance, not just adjustment.

We represent the bridge between the struggle of "starting over" and the strategy of thriving. As a brand, we stand for:

  • Empowered Transition: We believe that your international expertise is a superpower, not a setback. We stand for professionals landing senior roles that honor their worth from day one.

  • Structured Harmony: We stand for the "Working Mum" who refuses to choose between a high-level career and a peaceful home. We provide the systems (the "Family OS") to make both possible.

  • Intentional Legacy: We believe in building cross-border wealth and preserving cultural roots, ensuring that moving "Down Under" leads to a richer life for the next generation.

  • The "Daily Bread": Inspired by our name, we stand for providing the practical, "bit-by-bit" wisdom—the Manna—that sustains you as you navigate the Australian ecosystem with confidence.

In short: We stand for building a life that doesn't just "work," but truly flourishes.

HI, I'M ZANA CHIN — BUT MOST PEOPLE CALL ME ZANA.

"I moved to Australia with a suitcase, a dream, and absolutely no idea what superannuation was."

Now I help other Malaysian women do it better — and with far less confusion than I had.

WHERE IT BEGAN

I grew up in Malaysia knowing I wanted more — I just didn't know what "more" would look like.

I was born and raised in Malaysia... I found myself on a stage wearing a crown — a Miss Malaysia titleholder, standing in the spotlight...

BEFORE AUSTRALIA

"The pageant taught me how to walk into a room. Migration taught me how to build one."

As a Miss Malaysia titleholder, I learned how to present myself, articulate a vision, and represent something bigger than myself.

THE REAL STORY

I didn't just migrate. I dismantled my identity and rebuilt it, piece by piece, in a new country.

When I arrived in Australia, I thought the hard part was over. I had my visa. I had a plan. What I didn't have was any real understanding of what it means to start a career from scratch...

"What I realised somewhere in the middle of all of that is that I hadn't been given a map."

THE NAME BEHIND THE BRAND

Manna Down Under. A name with three meanings — and every one of them intentional.

The Bread of Life: In ancient tradition, Manna was the "honey-like" substance that appeared in the desert to sustain a people in transition. It represents the essential tools, wisdom, and sweetness needed to survive—and eventually thrive—in a new land.

Our mission: from migrant to thriving.

THE PART NOBODY TALKS ABOUT

I'm also a mum. And some days, that's the hardest job of all.

When people ask me what's hardest about being a migrant in Australia, I don't say the visa paperwork. I say: doing all of it without your mum nearby...

"I see you. And there is a way through."

What I believe — and what MaDU is built on.

🌿

Honest over polished

Real information, real experience, real talk.

🤝

Community over competition

Lifting as we climb.

🍯

Provision, not perfection

Steady, faithful steps forward.

🌏

Identity without apology

Bring all of yourself. Australia needs it.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

There are two conversations I believe Malaysian women in Australia aren't having enough.

The first is about tech. Australia's fastest-growing industries are in technology —

and yet the pathways in remain unclear and intimidating for migrant women with overseas qualifications...

We are not behind. We were just never shown the map. MaDU is the map.

THE TECH GAP IS REAL.

Women represent less than 30% of Australia's tech workforce. MaDU is here to change that.

FINANCIAL LITERACY IS A RIGHT.

Every woman deserves to understand her money. It should never be gatekept by jargon or gender.
